Acceptable Use Policy

This policy is part of our Terms of Service. It applies to everything you create, upload or publish with Reelamo, through the app, the API or a share link, and to the people you give access to your workspace.

The short version

Make ads you would be comfortable defending in public: truthful, legal, made with material you're allowed to use, and respectful of the people in them.

Honest advertising

You may not use Reelamo to create ads that mislead people. This includes:

  • false or unsubstantiated claims about a product, price, result, origin or availability;
  • fake reviews, testimonials, endorsements or statistics, or presenting actors or AI-generated people as real customers;
  • false urgency or scarcity, hidden costs or bait-and-switch offers;
  • health, medical, financial or environmental claims that you cannot back up or that the law doesn't allow;
  • impersonating another company or brand, or suggesting an affiliation that doesn't exist;
  • scams, phishing, pyramid schemes, get-rich-quick offers or other fraud.

Testimonial and statistic concepts are meant for real quotes and real figures that you supply. If you use AI-generated images of people, don't present them as real customers or employees.

Real people, voices and deepfakes

  • Don't create content that shows a real, identifiable person saying or doing something they didn't say or do, and don't imitate someone's voice, without their explicit permission.
  • Don't use the name, image or voice of public figures, celebrities or influencers to suggest they endorse your product.
  • Only upload photos and videos of recognizable people if you have their permission to use them in advertising.
  • Where the law requires it, for example under the EU AI Act, disclose that realistic images, audio or video were generated or manipulated with AI.

Copyright and trademarks

Only upload logos, photos, videos, music, fonts and text that you own or are licensed to use in ads. Don't use other people's trademarks in a way that causes confusion, and don't copy the ads, characters or designs of others. Rights holders can report infringement to us, and we remove infringing content promptly.

Illegal and harmful content

You may never create or upload content that:

  • is illegal in the Netherlands, the EU or the country where the ad is shown, or promotes illegal products or services;
  • sexualizes minors in any way, or is sexually explicit;
  • incites hatred, violence or discrimination, harasses or threatens people, or glorifies terrorism or extremism;
  • promotes self-harm, eating disorders or dangerous challenges;
  • contains personal data of others without a legal basis, such as doxxing;
  • spreads disinformation that can cause public harm, for example about health, elections or emergencies.

Restricted categories

Ads for the following are only allowed if they comply with all applicable laws, licensing requirements and the policies of the platforms where you publish them: alcohol, gambling, financial products and crypto-assets, medicines and medical devices, supplements, dating, weight loss, and political or social issue advertising. Political ads must meet the EU rules on the transparency of political advertising. We may decline ads in these categories.

Ads for weapons, tobacco and vaping products, drugs, counterfeit goods, adult services or surveillance software that targets individuals are not allowed.

Using the service fairly

  • Don't try to bypass usage limits, our moderation or our cost safeguards, or create multiple accounts to get extra free ads.
  • Don't share accounts outside your workspace, resell access, or publish your API keys.
  • Don't probe, scan or test the security of the service without our written permission. Found a vulnerability? Please report it to us responsibly.
  • Don't upload malware, overload the service, scrape it, or reverse engineer it beyond what the law allows.
  • Don't use Reelamo or its output to build or train a competing AI model or service.

Moderation and enforcement

We check briefs, uploads and generated content automatically against these rules and may refuse to create an ad. If we find a violation, we may remove content, disable share links, pause ad creation, or suspend or close the account, depending on how serious it is. Serious violations, such as child sexual abuse material, are reported to the authorities.

If you think we made a mistake, email us. A person will review the decision and explain the outcome.

Seen an ad made with Reelamo that breaks these rules, or content that infringes your rights? Email [email protected] with a link or description and, for infringement claims, proof of your rights. We handle reports quickly and confidentially.
